Envision X Vendesto 2021
“Anaim in life is the only fortune worth finding; it can't be found in the foreign lands but in the heart itself”
-
Robert Louis Stevenson
Deeply
moved by the words that express such vigour, we at Xavier’s find ourselves in
the constant tussle of self-discovery. Each year as we look forward to an
intriguingly brilliant event of augmenting knowledge, ’ENVISION X VENDESTO’ organised
by the Department of COMMERCE in collaboration with the
Department of management, never fails to enthral us. The events were lined up
for the days of 17th and18th of November, 2021 and it was
as jubilant and buoyant as the name already manifests.
The
event took a new shape and challenge by creating a fusion between online and
offline mediums. It started in the glorious presence of the august gathering devoted
utterly to the affair, on the morning of 17th of November, withthe
welcome of the Jesuit authorities and audience members. Followed by the
lighting of the lamp, seeking the blessings ofthe Almighty, which was truly a
moment to behold. Reverend Fr. Arokya Swamy addressed the attendees with his mesmerising
words that got the audience in awe. Followed by, Rev. Dr A Rex Angelo, S.J.voicedwords
of wisdom that lit up the room and instilled a sense of motivationamongst the
students. Thereafter,an expansive talk show themed, “Entrepreneurship; Reassessment of Success”
took place with Ms Amrita Gupta and Sir, Yash Kalra as the chief guests, they tethered
to the aspiring minds about relieving oneself from the pressure from parents,
peers and society and focusing on what lies within and ignites the spark, the
passion. The inaugural ceremony came to a close as ambition surrounded the air.
The
fest provided a great learning curve for the students besides a vessel of fond
memories. It offereda myriad of recreational activities ranging from booking
profits to debate and marketing to quizzes, which aimed at assisting the partakers
in the quest to find their inner artist. This year was extra special asstudents
from regarded educational institutions namely Manipal, SKIT, JECRC, DU, MU Amity,
JKLU, UPES Dehradun, Maharaniand our very own St Xavier's Neva comprised our 1200+
digital footfall. Another nifty mention would be to MPS, St Anselem, Jayshree
Periwal and Xavier's as they let their students participate and gain crucial
practical experience in the process. The eventsfor the first day, scilicet Mad
over Marketing, Squiz Games, Over the Counter, Ad-edict, My Vyavsay and the
GD-PI of corporate roadies, saw a huge response from the participants. The lineup
for the second day, On-spot Entrepreneur, Challenge Round of Corporate Roadies,
Xavier’s Premier League, Recrutedia, unfolded with the same zeal as day one. We
had an eminent judging panel, with people from various fields, with Mr
Chandraveer Singh Chauhan and Mr Nitin Sharma for Corporate Roadies, CA MILAN AILANI
for MOM, Madam Moon MoonLaihri and Dr Swati Surana for Banter on Bow and Ms
Ranju Mehta for My Vyavsay.
As
the sun sets, theawe-inspiringfest also approaches its end. Students gather as
they bid adieu to the festivities, with the fire of passion still lit in them. Beholding
all pride and honour, the yearning souls at Xavier’s once again displayed
vigilance and the event was replete with passion and enthusiasm.
